Mirroring weekend

Arranging household articles before my moving to Paris, I found my agenda of 2016 hidden on the shelf corner. I had collected some quotes that I encountered daily, which were motivating or somewhat depressing time to time, and here I wanted to share those quotes to reflect on what words I’d swum the pool of calender 2016. There were many who accompanied me in that pool; Frida Kahlo, Lama, Gotthold Lessing, Bernard Shaw, Murakami, Piketty and more modern poets (all tagged at the end of this post). I surely enjoyed the time in flashback memory, but also I do remember that I was anxious already to jump into the next pool of 2017. This agenda will be disposable, probably burnt later with the campfire on the terrace, but the conversations I exchanged with those whom I swam would be kept. This process of reflecting past agenda for me was looking at the mirror where I saw myself following what I was doing. Records of every day lays here as a personal history, and with those concrete records I could reconstruct my past to revive in it for a while; reproducing the emotions I had meeting new people daily, since their names were put. Letters and postcards I received enriched that year, and I am grateful. Here come those quotes (some are in Spanish- and I’m being lazy to translate all).
